Ripples

| 9 May 2006 15:05

It's like that scene in the movie Jurassic Park, when the errant survivors of the dinosaurs' wrath have taken a moment to collect themselves in the pastoral setting of the aptly-named park.

Then the water starts rippling.

It's like that now at E3. The exhibitors still have the floor and workers are still busily wheeling carts laden with last minute displays into the convention center. We're getting glimpses of what's to come - ripples in the water - but nothing more than that.

Big news from Sony today. Nintendo promises more.

Tomorrow the full force of the show will explode upon our minds with the sound (literally) of a roaring jet engine. Like the mighty roar of the T-Rex of gaming conventions. Some will survive. Some won't.
