The Darkness Comes to Comic-Con

Publisher 2K Games announces July 20th-23rd look at The Darkness, based on the TopCow comic book series. Attendees to the convention can see the game demoed at Booth #2329

The Xbox360 and PS3 title, developed by Starbreeze Studios and expected next year, is a gritty, first-person, action-adventure game with a horror twist. On mafia hitman Jackie Estacado's 21st birthday, the awesome and terrible powers of the Darkness awaken within him allowing Jackie to wreak havoc on his enemies.

In the game, players will have an array of dark and other-worldly powers available, including cannibalizing the corpses of slain victims and transforming them into Darklings - impish demonites that commit unspeakable acts, resulting in "intense and immersive cinematic action."
