Penny Arcade Game In The Works

| 25 Aug 2006 19:22

Today at the Penny Arcade Expo, Jerry Holkins and Mike Krahulik announced a deal with Hothead Games to produce an episodic Penny Arcade video game.

Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness was announced today at PAX for the PC, Linux and MAC OS X. The "adventure comic game" will be released in episodes and distributed by digital downloads several times a year. The company creating the title is Hothead Games, a new development group based in Vancouver and comprised of former employees from Radical Entertainment, Silicon Knights and Black Box/EA.

Penny Arcade writer Jerry Holkins is thrilled with the partnership, stating that, "From the moment we laid eyes on them, it was clear they had the technical and creative chops to execute our grim vision. Now that we have pooled our strengths, our dark work may truly begin."

There are also plans for console versions in the future. Currently, there is no release date for the first installment.
