This week's top ten software list in Japan has been dominated by Nintendo DS games.

With the release of Final Fantasy III for the Nintendo DS in Japan, the portable system has swept the top-ten sales list. According to Media Create, the remake of the third Final Fantasy game has already cleared 500,000 sales in its first week. Next at number two is New Super Mario Bros. with 65,556 units sold.

According to Gamasutra, the DS Lite is still hard to come by despite Nintendo's expanded efforts to meet demand. The DS has sold 163,684 units in the past seven days, compared to 29,945 for the PSP.
