Nintendo Anticipates One Million Units For Wii Launch

According to the vice president and general manager of Nintendo Canada, Nintendo plans to have one million Wii consoles available in North America on launch day.

Ron Bertram, VP and general manager for Nintendo Canada, told MacKenzie Financial that Nintendo is looking good for a million unit launch. "If we get what we're supposed to get, this will be our most plentiful launch in the 15 years I've been at Nintendo," said Bertram.

The Nintendo Wii is set to ship on November 19th, two days after the PS3 launch on November 17th.
