News Digital Systems Purchases ITE

News Corp. subsidiary News Digital Systems announces acquisition of Danish game developer Interactive Television Entertainment.

News Digital Systems (NDS) has announced that it has purchased Interactive Television Entertainment (ITE) for an undisclosed sum. ITE is a popular developer of interactive television games throughout Northern Europe. NDS stated that ITE featured "an extensive library of proven game titles for consoles, mobiles and PCs."

NDS Denmark managing director, Jesper Knutsson was quoted saying that, "the acquisition further enhances the ability of NDS to offer its existing portfolio of leading content owners and multinational broadcasters world leading interactive games solutions across a wider range of platforms."

NDS is a provider of technology solutions for television broadcasters, most notably DirectTV. The majority shareholder is parent company News Corp.
