Disney To Focus On Wii And DS

| 7 Nov 2006 17:00

Buena Vista Games, the interactive entertainment affiliate of The Walt Disney Company, has formed a new studio to develop Nintendo DS and Wii games.

Buena Vista has announced the formation of Fall Line Studio, a new group devoted to creating games based on Disney characters and TV shows for the Nintendo DS and Wii systems. Scott Novis, the former general manager of Rainbow Studios, will serve as VP and general manager for the new studio. "The opportunity to grow a new studio for Buena Vista Games after success with Rainbow is right in line with my goal to create great games for the mainstream," he said. "BVG has an excellent management team, a can-do corporate culture and a treasure trove of great intellectual properties that make it exciting for us to start something new."

Buena Vista is currently the number three publisher for GBA games in North America.
