Nintendo Announces Christmas Day Downloads

| 22 Dec 2006 16:34

Nintendo has announced Super Mario Bros, Street Fighter II: The World Warrior, Super Castlevania IV and more for the Christmas day Virtual Console offerings. Despite rumors earlier this week, you will have to pay for them.

Also coming on Monday are Toe Jam & Earl (Genesis, 800) and R-Type (TurboGrafx, 800). Rumors circulated early this week that Nintendo would be releasing the new content for free. This is obviously not the case, with titles ranging from 500 to 800 points.

After five weeks, there are now 33 titles on Nintendo's Virtual Console. The company also mentioned that on January 1st Baseball (NES) and Urban Champion (NES) will be among the new games to download.
