Arkadium and Hearst to Build Casual Games

Casual game developer Arkadium to build games based on Hearst brands.

Casual and adver-gaming developer Arkadium and magazine publisher The Hearst Corporation have agreed to produce casual web games based on Hearst's magazine brands. The first game since the partnership was released on Teen magazine's website on February 12, and titles for CosmoGIRL! and Seventeen are dated for later this month. Arkadium plans to develop Esquire, Good Housekeeping, Harper's Bazaar, Cosmopolitan and Marie Claire branded titles designed to target each magazine's audience and raise advertising revenue for Hearst.

Hearst Vice President Chuck Cordray commented on the new partnership. "As part of our digital strategy, we want to offer relevant content that will further engage site visitors and keep them interacting with our brands for longer periods of time. Arkadium's library of games and their ability to customize based on each magazine's brand requirements is a great fit for our teen audience."
