Bethesda Selects Kynapse to Beef up AI

| 13 Mar 2007 19:55

Bethesda Softworks announced that they have chosen Kynogen's Kynapse A.I. engine for use in Rogue Warrior, their upcoming first-person shooter, which is currently being developed by Zombie Studios for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC platforms.

Kynapse, which makes computer enemies behave more realistically, was selected mainly for its seamless integration within the Unreal 3 Engine, which is Rogue Warrior's backbone. Todd Vaught, VP of Bethesda Softworks, said, "Our development team was able to leverage Kynapse full set of functionalities and tools very quickly, and Kynapse low level AI perfectly compliments our advanced high level AI."

Pierre Pontevia, CEO of Kynogen, is "delighted" to be working with Bethesda and Zombie Studios and said, "Together with Bethesda and Zombie, we are looking forward to a creative and productive relationship."
