Metal Gear Servers Online in Europe

| 14 Mar 2007 14:07

Konami Europe keeps Subsistence available for online gaming.

Following our earlier story that servers for Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence would no longer be available for network play, Konami Europe has issued a statement clarifying the report. Online play is only being shut down in the U.S., leaving players in the rest of the world with access to continued community combat.

The announcement reads: "Following the announcement that the US servers for the online elements of Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence are to close, Konami Digital Entertainment GmbH wishes to reassure European fans of the game that this will not affect them. The European MGS3 Subsistence Servers will stay online. Indeed, Konami recently announced a dedicated league system - www.MGS3LEAGUE.com - which will continue to provide services for fans of the game."
