d'artiste Book Series Continues, Featuring Kevin Lanning

Ballistic Publishing runs a series of books for the CG community called d'artiste. The latest book, Character Modeling 2, features work, techniques and explanations from Kevin Lanning, the artist behind character models in Gears of War.

The book also features sections on the work and methods of Timur Baysal and Zack Petroc, known for their work in Hollywood films and games.

The d'artiste series of books aims to instruct; each artist includes a detailed tutorial of how they do their work, as well as the rationale for why they made the artistic choices that they did. The books also include collections of the artists' work and the works of some of the artists' peers.
