10tacle Studios AG and MTV Germany to Create 3-D Online World

10tacle Studios AG and Viacom Germany GmbH will launch a multi-user, 3-D online world using brands and property rights belonging to MTV, starting in 2008.

The world will allow users access to classic content offered by MTV and a large number of online games. 10tacle Studios will handle the technical implementation and operation of the portal, while MTV will provide target group communication, and content editing.

Michele Pes, CEO of 10tacle Studios AG, said, "MTV is an extremely strong brand with enormous reach. ... I am certain that the new online world can rapidly achieve a similar status to Second Life."

This licensing agreement runs for five years and includes the option to extend for a longer period of time. Licenses will be granted for Germany, Austria and Switzerland, with additional countries in Europe and Asia to be added shortly.
