Atari: Armed Assault Available in U.S. May 1

| 16 Apr 2007 14:22

Atari has announced that Armed Assault: Combat Operations will ship in the United States on May 1. Developed by Bohemia Interactive, the title is a military combat simulation game that thrusts players into both a story-driven single player campaign and online battles against 50 players at a time.

Appearing six years after Operation Flashpoint, widely considered to have set the standard in the "realistic" military sim department, the game boasts a host of vehicles, hundreds of square kilometers of navigable terrain and a custom editor.

According to Gamespot, a less polished version of the game shipped to select European countries at least two months ago, but those first shipments suffered from certain bugs and showcased less vehicles.
