| 2 May 2007 16:31

Atari, Inc. announced a reorganization of its general and administrative functions today.

This reorganization plan reduces Atari's workforce by about 20 percent, which includes a 26 percent reduction of its administrative workforce. This plan was approved by Atari's Board of Directors April 10, 2007, and employees were alerted by April 30. Atari anticipates the cuts will be complete by July 31, 2007.

David Pierce, President and CEO of Atari, said, "We expect that tpday's reorganization will continue to reduce Atari's general and administrative cost. These actions, though difficult, are a signifigant first step in reorganizing Atari and demonstrate out commitment to restoring shareholder value."
