Manual for Integrating Videogames into The Classroom Released This Week

Teacher Ideas Press this week released "Playing to Learn: Video Games in the Classroom," a resource for helping teachers integrate the study of videogames into their classes.

"Playing to Learn: Video Games in the Classroom" was written by by David Hutchison, an Associate Professor of Teacher Education, and features over 100 videogame activity ideas appropriate for grades 4 to 12. The book contains several discussion articles contributed by scholars, journalists and bloggers who routinely write about videogames, and dozens of activity modification and extension ideas, web links, data tables and photos.

The book's official website features summaries of every activity, sample pages from the book, plus a regularly updated list of additional activity ideas.
