Valve Software's Steam software offers PC gamers some hit Capcom titles.

Game publishers and developers Capcom and Valve have come to an agreement that will offer Capcom-developed titles on Valve's Steam digital download platform, making Capcom the first Japanese developer to be featured on the service. Lost Planet: Extreme Condition (previously an Xbox 360 exclusive), Onimusha 3, Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition and Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix have all been confirmed for a future Steam release, with Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition launching later this week.

Valve President and Co-founder Gabe Newell commented, "Capcom is a worldwide leader in development and publishing of action adventure titles. This initial set of Capcom titles coming to Steam, as well as those coming at a later date, are a perfect fit for the millions of action gaming fans connecting to Steam each week."

"With the PC market becoming a larger part of our business, we're naturally focusing our attention on digital distribution. Steam is the right place for us to go with our titles. Valve has created a huge installed base of gamers who naturally fit with the profiles of the titles that Capcom develops," added Mark Beaumont, executive vice president for Capcom American and European consumer software publishing.
