If you're upgrading your phone, here's some extra incentive to recycle your used one. Retail chain Play N Trade announced the "Phones for Games" programs today.

Play N Trade's founder, Ron Simpson, said, "This is a unique benefit for our customers, offering them a convenient way to recycle their old cell phones and receive store credit. Participating Play N Trade stores can now quickly appraise used cell phones, process trade-ins and instantly issue credit." All the phones will be properly recycled--keeping the mercury, lead and cadmium out of our landfills.

Play N Trade is an extraordinarily fast-growing franchise business, with over 100 new franchises sold in the first few months of 2007. With ecologically sound business plans like this, they can hopefully expect to grow even more in the coming years.
