Microsoft Axes X07

Microsoft product manager Aaron Greenberg reveals that X07 is a no-show this year.

On the 85th episode of the Squad XP podcast, Aaron Greenberg, group product manager for Xbox 360 and Xbox Live, divulged that Microsoft would not be throwing an X07 event in Europe. These annual European expos for the retailers and media began in 2001 and have been traditionally been Microsoft's opportunity to reveal its own announcements, including the Peter Jackson partnerships and Halo Wars outside of the major conferences that also host Sony and Nintendo.

Greenberg stated, "There is not a real X07 this year but I think that we will figure out some way to talk about 2008 some time at a different event or a different type of programme."
