D2C Games Gets Series A Financing

A downloadable games developer takes $6 million in investments.

D2C Games, a publisher and developer of downloadable games for all major platforms, closed its Series A financing round of approximately $6 million from a range of investors, including Rubicon Venture Partners and 755 Capital Partners. The funds will be used to increase publishing and the development of original intellectual properties.

Scott Orr, Chief Exectuive Officer of D2C Games, saidd, "The venture capital community has been very receptive to our business model of developing digital-to-consumer digital entertainment content. The capital from our Series A will allow us to further develop multiple new properties and strengthen our publishing capabilities, to deliver innovative and fun entertainment products to consumers."

"D2C Games is lead by a proven senior management team that is responsible for generating more than $2 billion in revenue in the game industry," said Mark Wilson, CEO of Rubicon Venture Partners. "We're confident the D2C Games team knows the market for games and are creating compelling, original content for interactive entertainment consumers."
