John Davison's Family Website Funded

Departed 1UP executive John Davison raises funds for his new venture.

John Davison, previously 1UP's Editorial Director that recently left the company website, and his partner Ira Becker have raised a $1.5 million investment for What They Like, a family-focused gaming website.

Private equity news site PEHub notes that What They Like Inc. is aiming to raise a total of $3 million, and Ira Becker, formerly 1UP's General Manager and Development Vice President, is the company's Chief Executive Officer.
