Pirates of the Burning Sea Available for Pre-Order

Pirates of the Burning Sea, the swashbuckling MMOG of the high seas, is now available for pre-order at participating retailers.

Gamers who pre-order the game will receive a bonus package including the "Captain's Best Friend" (actually a blue and yellow parrot), a Swedish Rapier, Old-World Steel or Musketeers Matching Blades (depending on the fighting style selected) and the original game soundtrack CD.

Players who sign up early will also receive a 15-day Pre-Boarding Party invitation, giving them access to the game 15 days before launch and allowing them to keep their characters, skill and equipment (with a character level cap of 20) after launch with the purchase of the game and subscription.

Set in the Caribbean in the early 1700s, Pirates of the Burning Sea puts players in the role of freebooters and scurvy dogs looting, pillaging and behaving rudely on the high seas. The game is scheduled for public release on January 22, 2008; a European pre-order date has not been set.
