Guildcafe Acquires UberGuilds

Online gaming destination Guildcafe acquires UberGuild to expand its network of social gaming sites.

GuildCafe Entertainment Inc., the developer of guild and online gaming site GuildCafe and the receiver of a recent undisclosed investment, announced that it has purchased Uberguilds, a network of high-profile gaming communities. The Uberguilds Network will be repackaged as the GuildCafe Alliance Program, which will enable independent websites to integrate with GuildCafe's social gaming platform. John Findlay, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Uberguilds Network, will become the general manager for the new program.

Jon Radoff, Chief Executive Officer of GuildCafe, stated, "We began working with Uberguilds earlier this year and became impressed with the enthusiasm of their community. The feedback from their players has been invaluable in improving our social gaming platform-and their participation will help us make our player recruiting, matchmaking and strategy-sharing applications the standard for the gaming world."
