Guinness World Records Gamers Edition Coming In February

Guinness World Records has announced the upcoming release of the inaugural Guinness World Records Gamers Edition 2008, which goes on sale in February.

Billed as "the definitive guide to all computer gaming records, fact and figures," the book will cover videogaming facts and statistics from the earliest days of the industry to the present era. Lists of the world's best-selling and highest-rated videogames, interviews with top gamers and trivia about topics such as "Longest Prison Sentence For Playing A Computer Game" will all be included within the book's pages.

Guinness is also holding an online search for the highest Guitar Hero score of all time, to be included in the hallowed ranks of record holders. Gamers can upload their scores to the Gamers Edition website at gamers.guinnessworldrecords.com.

The Guinness World Records Gamers Edition 2008 is set to hit bookshelves on February 8.
