Themis Group to Host Valentine Benefit for Duke Hospital Kids

Tap Interactive, the media marketing and promotional arm of Themis Group, parent company of The Escapist is hosting "A Gamer's Valentine" event to benefit patients of Duke Children's Hospital & Health Center in North Carolina.

Bringing people together for a night of mingling, the event will feature 10 auctionees - five men and five women - courtesy of the following local companies: Red Storm Entertainment, Themis Group, Vicious Cycle, Destineer Studios, NWN Corporation and The Escapist.

The January 31 event will run from 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. at White Collar Crime; auctionees and their highest bidders will be awarded with dates at venues donated by The Carolina Hurricanes, Big Boss Brewing Company, Goodnight's Comedy Club, Adventure Landing, Scooterz Inc., Five Star Restaurant, Parizade and Vin Rouge.

Dead Broke Farm, Duck & Dumpling, The Raleigh Times Bar, and The Pit are also donating gifts to the effort.

Along with money, new or gently used PlayStation 2 consoles and videogames will be accepted as donations for the cause. Visit www.gamersvalentine.com for more information.
