DC Comics is drawing a prequel series for EA's first-person adventure Mirror's Edge.

Having debuted at Comic-Con International in San Diego, the six-issue, limited edition Miror's Edge comic run is the result of a partnership between Electronic Art's Swedish studio DICE and DC Comic's brand WildStorm.

Owen O'Brien, Senior Producer at DICE, explained, "The unique graphic style offered by the comic book genre is perfect for taking fans through [protagonist Faith's] back-story."

Mirror's Edge scriptwriter Rhianna Pratchett and artist Matthew Dow Smith will be responsible for setting the story of Faith and her fellow "Runners" as they act as rooftop couriers for rebels fighting an overbearing government.

"Rhianna and DICE have created an amazing game with a great backstory," said Hank Kanalz, Vice President for WildStorm. "The characters have really come alive in the game, and we are pleased that we will be able to add to the canon of the Mirror's Edge universe with this project."
