Street Fighter: The Debit Card

Capcom has partnered with Visa to produce a special Capcom branded debit card that'll grant cardholders special access to all sorts of exclusive Capcom goodies.

Funny that Capcom, just as it prepares to release much-anticipated Street Fighter IV, should decide to unveil another business venture so far removed from that event and so comparatively insignificant, but here it is anyway: the Capcom Unity Card, a debit card which comes in Resident Evil 5, Bionic Commando and Street Fighter IV flavors and offers access to a variety of cardholders-only Capcom treats.

Unity Card owners get access to closed beta tests, free downloads, special merchandise, invitations to launch parties, and even the ability to cut lines at major events like Comic Con, just like all those hotshot VIPs and members of the press.

Once you've plunked down $9.95 for the card and then a $10 initial deposit, you'll have to pay $4.95 a month. You can only deposit up to $2,500 a day and have a balance ceiling of $5,000. Cardholders can also earn half-percent cash-back on every day spending. The card is usable anywhere that accepts Visa, but is especially handy when used on the Capcom Store, where it counts for a 15% discount on all purchases. Capcom describes the card as a "checking account on steroids."

Screaming Shoryuken! every time you swipe at the grocery store is optional, but highly recommended.
