UK Gets Shamrock Simpsons Before US

For the first time, the UK gets a Simpsons episode before the the US, mainly because old Abe is over in the land of the little people.

In the special St. Patrick's day (March 17th) episode, In the Name of the Grandfather, Abe Simpson will be travelling to Ireland to visit the Blarney Stone amongst other Irish cultural landmarks. Naturally, like most tourists, he ends up in the pub.

Usually episodes are shown on Fox in America a week in front of them getting to Sky 1, but for this occasion, the UK gets first look; with America getting it one week later.

On the Emerald Isle itself will be Al Jean, James L Brooks, and Nancy Cartwright who will attend an exclusive screening.

Let's just hope there's no Thetans involved.
