2K Unveils New BioShock Book

2K Games is now taking preorders for Breaking the Mold: Developer's Edition, a new book that traces the history of the game's development.

The book is an "overhaul" of the original Breaking the Mold art book, which 2K gave away to gamers in digital format after being unable to include it as a "real" book with the BioShock Collector's Edition. Breaking the Mold: Developer's Edition will be an 8"x10" softcover with 174 pages of new art, developer commentary, stories of the game's history and much more. I don't want to come off as too much of a 2K shill here but it sounds to me like this thing is treading very close to "must-have" territory for serious BioShock fans.

The book was actually announced last year but 2K is only now ready to start taking your money. Gamers who preorder the book for $24.99 in the next three weeks will receive free shipping anywhere in the world. Breaking the Mold: Developer's Edition will be available exclusively through the Take-Two Store.
