OnLive Beta Signups Now Being Taken

OnLive, the streaming game system that's getting all the attention at GDC, is now taking applications for its upcoming beta program.

OnLive is a streaming service that provides on-demand videogames to customers without requiring any high-end gaming hardware. It's design to work with run-of-the-mill PCs, including laptops and netbooks, and OnLive also plans to make available a small "MicroConsole" for customers without a computer in the home. The system was unveiled at GDC and has already signed up publishers including EA, Ubisoft and several others.

The beta test isn't running now but is scheduled to begin in the summer of this year. Testers must be at least 18 years old with a broadband-connected PC running Windows XP or Vista, or an Intel-based Mac, and have to live in the U.S. If that sounds like you, put your name in the hat here.
