Star Trek Online Character Creator Revealed

Ever wanted to be a really ugly Ferengi, or a Vulcan with dreads? Well you might just get your wish with Star Trek Online, and more besides.

If you're the sort of person who had an opinion on whether Worf's hair looked better short or long - long for the win by the way - you're probably going to have a lot of fun with Star Trek Online's Character creator. According to Rock Paper Shotgun, it's a pretty typical Cryptic character creator, in that it is amazingly detailed and a whole lot of fun.

As well as the established races, Humans, Andorians, Bajorans, Bolians, Vulcans, and newcomers to the federation, the Ferengi, is the ability to create a completely new race to play as, just like the pictured. With the established races, you have to stay within the realms of possibility, but if you make your own, the galaxy is your oyster. Want to put forehead ridges on a Ferengi's multi-lobed noggin? Go for it!

Star Trek Online will be available in February.
