Blizzard Entertainment is an American videogame publisher founded as Silicon & Synapse. It was acquired by Davidson & Associates in 1994, after which it was acquired by several other companies, culminating in a merge between its parent company Vivendi and Activision to form the holding company, Activision Blizzard.
