Konami Corporation, or Konami, is a Japanese multimedia developer and publisher. It owns over a dozen subsidiaries including Hudson Soft and Kojima Productions. It is known for many important franchises including Castlevania, Silent Hill, Contra, Metal Gear, and the Bemani series. It is also known for the Konami Code, a popular cheat code used in several early Konami games. It has developed or published for virtually every console and personal computers.
