Capcom is a Japanese videogame publisher originally founded to develop arcade games. Since its merge with Sambi in 1989, Capcom has published hundreds of games for a variety of platforms. Besides games developed by Capcom and its subsidiaries, Capcom has published titles developed by other companies, notably Ōkami. Capcom also publishes strategy guides and runs its own arcade centers. It hosts an annual private media summit called Captivate, formerly known as Gamers Day.
