Cryptic Studios is an American videogame developer founded to develop City of Heroes. After selling the City of Heroes and City of Villains intellectual property to NCsoft, the studio has developed Champions Online and Star Trek Online. It has also released the free Cryptic Animation Rig for animators based on tools developed by the studio.
