Preorder culture expects gamers to trust developers more than ever, but how does that work when they inspire so little faith?
The "take cash now, provide content later" tactic is currently serving companies well, but with recent disappointments like Aliens: Colonial Marines demonstrating how falsely advertised a game can be, one suspects it's a plan that cannot last. It certainly shouldn't be allowed to go on.
