A blog post on the series’s website offers more information about the Age of Empires: Fan Preview broadcast, which is currently set to premiere at 9 a.m. PT / 12 p.m. ET on April 10. Microsoft and developer Relic Entertainment will kick off festivities with the half-hour show, and a “limited-time digital experience” will take place on AgeofEmpires.com throughout the following week.
As far as what to expect regarding Age of Empires IV, there will be a new look at gameplay, civilizations, campaigns, and more during the Fan Preview. Regarding Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition and Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition, the post only says that “some exciting news” will be shared.
Age of Empires IV was revealed all the way back in 2017 with Relic, the studio behind the Company of Heroes and Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War titles, serving as the developer. During Microsoft’s X019 presentation, we got our first look at gameplay.
