NPCs are scattered throughout the different locales on the Fortnite map. While you can hire some, most play a vital role in explaining the ongoing storyline.
For the Galactic Battle season, many NPCs you will encounter on the island are from the Star Wars universe. They have unique lines, which add more detail to the theme, and will often sell you weapons and items that can make your survival easier.
Where to find all NPCs in Fortnite Chapter 6 Galactic Battle Season
This season is supposed to feature eight NPCs, but you’ll find only five of them on the island right now. The rest are expected to join over the next few weeks as the season progresses.
Here’s a list of all the NPCs you can interact with on the island right now:

While the three remaining NPCs are unclear, based on this season’s roadmap, Chewbacca and the Mandalorian are potential candidates for two of the three available spots. You should see them on the island on May 15 and 22, respectively.
Apart from them, you’ll find a lot of other NPCs on Fortnite island, like Darth Vader, Captain Phasma, and a slew of hostile Stormtroopers, but you cannot interact with them. They don’t sell services either, and defeating them is the only way to pick up whatever loot they offer.
