Developer miHoYo has announced a collaboration with Sony Interactive Entertainment where Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West will be joining as a playable character in Genshin Impact.

Players who have reached Adventure Rank 20 or above will be able to obtain Aloy, who is an event-exclusive 5-star character. Her title is “Savior From Another World” and her element in Genshin Impact is Cryo. Canonically, it looks like Aloy arrives in Genshin Impact‘s world of Teyvat after the events of her origin title, Horizon Zero Dawn. She has come to Teyvat in search of new challenges for herself.

There are two ways to obtain Aloy. At the start of the version 2.2 maintenance update on October 13, all players who log into Genshin Impact on PlayStation 4 or 5 will earn Aloy directly through the in-game mail. (They will also exclusively receive the Predator Bow.) Players on other platforms will have to wait until November 24 at the start of the 2.3 maintenance update to obtain her.

Genshin Impact is currently available on PS4, PS5, PC, iOS, and Android. It will also be on Nintendo Switch later. Horizon Zero Dawn was first released on PlayStation 4 in 2017 and then PC in 2020. Sony is hoping to launch its sequel, Horizon Forbidden West, before the end of this year.
