This is it, the final sprint to the finish line for Chapter 4 of Outlast 2. This tricky chapter ends with yet another marathon, and we'll explain every step to help you escape.
Nothing ever comes easy for Blake, the beleaguered protagonist of Outlast 2. Just before reaching the lift down to the mines, another swarm of heretics will give chase through the facility. You'll need to jump, slide and sprint across the building, only to double-back and escape down the mineshaft.
This is the final sequence of Chapter 4. Beginning here, we've only got two chapters 4, and they're relatively quick compared to the rest of the game. There's only four sequences left in total. Lynn is so close, yet so far.

Leaving the school nightmare, you'll appear hanging on the side of a tall mining facility window. Shimmy left and drop down to get a good view of a mine transport gondola. Follow the walkway up and jump to the platform, then shimmy along the narrow ledge. There's a banging door, but ignore it for now.
Hop across onto the step platform, and jump into the gondola machinery. Push the cart hanging from the wire down the line, and you'll find a chute to the right. Don't slide down just yet, grab the battery that's on the shelf in the back-left corner.
Slide down, and you'll be confronted with more monsters. Immediately turn around and run until you reach a seeming dead-end. Not so - crawl and slip into the opening on the left side of this dead-end to crawl diagonally up the rocks. Navigate the path forward and climb the wooden wall, run forward and crawl the rest of the way. Blake locks the cellar door.
Unfortunately, you won't be safe for long. After using the elevator switch ahead, a cart will slam through the opposite wall. Why is that important? Because the elevator is full of more monsters. Retreat through that new hole, across the bridge, and into the building. Hop and slide through the obstructions, up the stairs, and back down. Jump, and jump again onto the bridge below.
Look familiar? You just made one big circle. Run by any monsters still in the area and sprint to the elevator. Once you're inside, you'll begin taking the long ride down into the underground.
Things never go as planned. The elevator collapses mid-ride. When it seemingly stops for good, crawl through the open door, circle around to the back, and drop into the shaft. Move forward and you'll escape the elevator shaft.
