Babel Media adds to Montreal development team.
With Eidos starting a new game studio in Montreal and Ubisoft founding a film house in Quebec, Babel Media is following suit by doubling its development team in Montreal, which opened its doors in August 2005, with an additional 350 staffers, bringing the total to 500 by the end of the year. Game testers, porters for the wireless communications division and project managers are all being sought.
In Babel’s press release, Managing Director Algy Williams stated: “We have recently signed contracts with clients who, without exaggeration, own some of the greatest Intellectual Property (IP) in the world. We will be testing their games across all platforms, including PS3 and Xbox 360, and we need to recruit talented and motivated people who are looking for a career in the games industry.”
