Best Bows in The Elder Scrolls Oblivion Remastered

Here's a list of the best bows in The Elder Scrolls Oblivion Remastered and where to find them.

Going for a bow build is the best alternative to a ranged spellcaster in The Elder Scrolls Oblivion Remastered. While you won’t have to rely on magic, you’ll still be able to get their effects by using enchanted bows and arrows.

There are a lot of bows that you will come across as you explore Cyrodiil. Most of them are very basic, but there are a few that really stand out.

Strongest Bows in Oblivion Remastered

Though the game offers a selection of enchanted bows, the following are the ones that you should be using:

Steel Bow

Where to find: Random world drops and chests.

Once you join the Blades, you’ll have access to their armory. Inside this room, you should be able to find a Steel Bow. This weapon is durable and packs a punch. If you pair it up with steel arrows, you’ll be able to one-shot enemies, especially if they’re not wearing any armor. This bow doesn’t come with any basic enchantments, so it deals pure physical damage, but by the time you get to a level where you need to have enchantments on your weapons, you’ll have better alternatives available to you.

Frostwyrm Bow

Where to find: Defeat Uderfrykte Matron near Dive Rock camp.

The Frostwyrm Bow comes with a high base damage coupled with a Frost enchantment, which makes this weapon effective for crowd control. It’s a handy weapon, especially if you get it early on.. The Frost enchantment on this weapon makes it a good choice to use while trying to close Oblivion Gates. Most of the enemies inside here are susceptible to frost damage, so the enchantment makes the weapon truly useful.

Shadowhunt

Where to find: Complete The Lonely Wanderer quest without being detected

This bow is associated with the Dark Brotherhood in Oblivion Remastered. It’s a two-handed marksman bow, but it comes with enchantments like Turn Undead and Damage Magicka. The efficiency of these enchantments will scale with your level, so if you get it at a higher character level, it’ll be stronger than getting it at a lower level. Since it drops with the Damage Magicka enchantment, it’s effective against mages and spellcasters.

Hatred’s Soul

Where to find: Within the Embers of Hatred inside Oblivion Gates

The Embers of Hatred are like additional vaults that you can explore inside Oblivion Gates. Inside these vaults, you’ll find Hatred’s Soul, which is the best bow in the entire game. This weapon’s drop is governed by RNG and has one in seven chances of appearing inside Embers of Hatred. It comes with bonus Fire Damage and Drain Speed, which makes targets easier to hit.

Apart from the Steel Bow, the three entries on this list are all enchanted weapons, and while their enchantments make them strong, they’re basic bows once they run out of charges. So, if you’re extensively using these weapons, make sure to keep filled soul gems in your inventory to recharge your bows in Oblivion Remastered.
