Best Team Composition for Zani in Wuthering Waves

Wuthering Waves Patch 2.3 introduced a new Spectro Frazzle DPS character called Zani. The character is powerful and is the best DPS character, but they also have a few limitations. 

She can fully parry an incoming enemy attack, which makes her one of the stronger tank/DPS hybrids that the game has to offer. She’s also capable of dealing heavy attack combos, which further solidifies her role as a unit that you shouldn’t be missing out on. 

Best Units to Pair With Zani in Wuthering Waves

The following are the best units that you should consider pairing Zani with: 

• Phoebe/Verina
• Rover/Shorekeeper 

Zani’s team composition is the biggest downside you currently face. While there are rumors that more Spectro Frazzle characters are coming in the future, a limited set of units being available in the game right now means you’ll not have a lot of team diversity if you’re gunning to reach Zani’s optimal DPS potential. 

To ensure that she can deal the most damage, Zani needs to have an applicator in Wuthering Waves, and here is where Phoebe and Verina come in. Phoebe is a better choice because you can use Moonlit Clouds to increase Zani’s attack. 

As for the sub-supports, Spectro Rover and Shorekeeper are a no-brainer because they give Zani more Spectro Frazzle stacks, which in turn boost her DPS output. But of the two, Shorekeeper is a better fit because her Rejuvenating Glow is capable of providing the entire team with buffs and increasing Zani’s damage output, too. 

Best Free-to-Play Zani Team Composition

In ideal conditions, your team would include Zani, Phoebe, and Shorekeeper. In case you’re looking for a free-to-play build, you can pair her up with Spectro Rover and Baizhi for the same effect. This composition isn’t exactly ideal, but it’s the best alternative. If you pair her up with any other unit, then you’ll experience a massive damage falloff, which will make the unit redundant. 

While the composition works, it also highlights the main drawbacks of this unit. It’s limited, and if you don’t have any of the units mentioned above, then it’s pointless to include Zani in a team in Wuthering Waves. She may be the strongest character in the game right now, but unless the developers introduce more characters to complement her playstyle, she’s going to remain a niche and inaccessible to many.
