Brütal Legend Track Pack Coming to Rock Band

This article is over 15 years old and may contain outdated information

To celebrate the upcoming release of Brütal Legend, three tracks of pure molten metal taken from the game’s soundtrack will be added to the Rock Band Music Store next week.

The three-pack of solid steel, razor-edged rock will include “(We Are) The Road Crew ’08” by Motörhead, “The Metal” by Tenacious D and “More Than Meets the Eye” by Testament, all taken from the mighty metal Brütal Legend soundtrack. Making it even more rocktastic, beginning October 13 and running for a limited time (whatever that means) gamers who purchase Brütal Legend will receive a coupon for a free copy of the Brütal Legend Pack.

“These are three great songs that totally capture the feeling of Brütal Legend. I can’t wait to play them in Rock Band,” said Double Fine Productions founder Tim Schafer. “I’ve air-drummed to all of them so many times, I’m sure I’ll be able to beat them on hard mode, no problem. Or at least on medium. Like medium plus. That’s a setting, right?”

Other tracks coming to Rock Band next week include “Show Me the Way” from Black Tide, “What’s My Age Again?” by Blink 182, “Satch Boogie” and “Surfing With the Alien” by Joe Satriani, live versions of “Icarus (Borne on the Wings of Steel)” and “Points of Know Return” from Kansas and “Andres” from L7.

The Brütal Legend Track Pack will be available on October 13 for the Xbox 360 and Wii, and October 15 for the PlayStation 3.
