Electronic Arts (EA) revealed that it will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of Command & Conquer in style by releasing the Command & Conquer Remastered Collection on PC. It will release on both Origin and Steam on June 5 for $19.99, featuring both Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn and Command & Conquer: Red Alert along with their three expansion packs. New features include 4K resolution support, completely rebuilt graphics, and a revamped user interface to help the classic real-time strategy games feel more modern.
In addition to the digital release, it will also be receiving two physical editions courtesy of Limited Run Games. The $59.99 physical copy will come with a Steam copy of the game, a USB drive featuring over 7 hours of music, a reversible 18″ x 24″ poster, four enamel pins, a faction sticker street, and tech tree prints.
Meanwhile, the 25th anniversary collector’s edition will cost $149.99. It includes everything in the special edition, a six-disc remastered soundtrack, an art book spanning over 100 pages, four faction patches, a reversible beanie, a replica of the Metal Mammoth Tank, and a painted PVC light and sound Tesla coil and obelisk replicas.
“Our team has been working hand-in-hand with the C&C community since day one and we hope this transparent dialogue will result in the Command & Conquer Remastered Collection being a love letter to our fans,” said lead producer Jim Vessella in a statement. “We’re taking the classic gameplay that ushered in a new era of the RTS genre and adding the most fan requested features like Skirmish mode for Tiberian Dawn, quality of life control improvements, and full Steam integration with UGC support. For me personally, having been a C&C fan since I was 12 years old in 1995, working with the original Westwood Studios team members at Petroglyph has been a dream come true.”
