Cryptic Studios will seek artists with gaming interests to introduce them to the industry.

City of Heroes and Marvel Universe Online development house Cryptic Studios is inviting aspiring game artists to submit portfolios to the company for the chance to be one of fifteen entrants into an interview process at the studio’s headquarters in Los Gatos, California. The fifteen winners will be processed through a professional review session, where they will get hands-on experience and education from the Cryptic art team, as well as help with entering the industry.

The portfolio deadline is Friday, February 15. Selected submitters will be invited to visit Cryptic Studios on Friday, February 22. Entries may be sent via e-mail to [email protected].

Shayne Herrera, Art Development Director of Cryptic Studios, said, “This is a terrific opportunity for budding artists who aspire to work in the gaming space to learn about current game industry trends and how we might align your work to be successful. Getting professional feedback from artists who are working on games on a daily basis can be really helpful to artists trying to decide on their career path.”
