David Perry Secret MMOG to be Racer

David Perry and thousands of contributors develop an online racing game.

Dave Perry, who has been discretely planning a community designed MMOG, released further details on the project’s forums. Over 23,000 contributors have registered for the “Top Secret” game, which Perry revealed to be a racing title. A completed product is planned for some time before GDC 2008.

Perry explained how the project is turning out in its early stages. “For our first project we’ll make a racing game, simply because as a genre it really needs fresh new ideas. We’re betting that with 23,000-plus developers we’ll be so buried in new ideas, it’s going to be tough to choose between them all – a nice problem to have.”
