Delta Airlines Provides Fliers Access to Nintendo DS Demos

Delta Air Lines and Nintendo are teaming up to provide customers access to free video game demos for the Nintendo DS portable gaming system at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport.

Travelers can wirelessly download videogame demos at no cost by standing within a few feet of one of the four DS Download Stations located in Delta Terminals 2 and 3 at JFK. Within seconds, a temporary demo version of a popular Nintendo DS game like Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day, Elite Beat Agents, Cooking Mama or Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Legend transmits to the DS.

Demos are updated periodically. The service also is available in Delta terminals at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

Joan Vincenz, Delta’s Managing Director of Product Marketing, said, “This program reflects our ongoing commitment to provide a distinctive, enjoyable travel experience – both on the ground and in the air – especially during the busy spring and summer travel season.”

George Harrison, Nintendo of America’s Senior Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communications, added, “Because people typically have a lot of down time, airports are ideal places for people young and old to try out free new game experiences and see what they like.”
