Alice’s Friendship Quests in Disney Dreamlight Valley

After entering Wonderland, finding Alice, and helping her put the queen’s garden to rights, you can invite her to return to Dreamlight Valley. Place her home somewhere in the Valley and pay Scrooge McDuck 5,000 Star Coins to build the structure. When you meet her in the Plaza, have a daily conversation with her and give her one of her favorite gifts to increase her status to Friendship Level 2.

This will grant you Alice’s first reward, the Wonderland Bed. It will also unlock Alice’s first quest, “Books with No Pictures,” which begins her main storyline in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Books with No Pictures (Level 2 Friendship)

Disney Dreamlight Valley - Alice Level 2 Friendship Quest - Books with No Pictures
(Gameloft)

Upon rejoining her friends in Dreamlight Valley, Alice has one goal: Visit the Dreamlight Library and discover whether Merlin has stocked any new picture books since she’s been away. She wants to introduce Vanellope to picture books, as well, and she enlists the player’s help in making it happen.

Talk to Alice to start the quest, then talk to Vanellope about hanging out with Alice. Go inside the Dreamlight Library and talk to Alice, which will begin a conversation with both characters. A magic book on Merlin’s desk accidentally lets its words loose, scattering them throughout the Valley.

The game will prompt you to talk to Mickey, Scrooge, and Goofy about the missing words. You can save time by skipping straight to Goofy, who tells you that he fished a noun from a pond in the Peaceful Meadow. Fish up two more nouns in sparkly bubbles, then talk to Alice.

Three verb bunnies are loose in the Plaza. Chase them toward the Dreamlight Castle, then follow them inside to catch them. Talk to Alice again and then search the Valley for adjective bushes. The game will prompt you to find three, but after you harvest from the second, the quest goal will change because there are adjectives missing. You’ll be prompted to talk to Ursula, Mirabel, and Remy.

To save time, you can skip straight to Remy, who hoped to infuse his cooking with the adjectives. At his urging, check Mickey’s house for the last adjective. Interact with the fridge to collect it, then talk to Alice.

Now that all the words have been collected, help Alice choose a noun, verb, and adjective to use in a new poem. Follow her through the Valley and listen to her read her poem to Merlin. Talk to Merlin.

Next, craft a Literary Pop-Up Book using the recipe below.

MaterialsQuantity
Softwood9
Fiber12
Pink Hydrangea5
Sunflower4

Make a cozy reading room for Alice and Vanellope in your player home, using the Literary Pop-Up Book and recommended items in the Furniture Editor. You must include 1 rug, 1 table, 2 lights, and 3 piece of Calm furniture. Once the room is ready, talk to Alice, then read the story in the book. Talk to Alice again to complete the quest.

Mimsy Were the Borogoves (Level 4 Friendship)

Disney Dreamlight Valley - Alice Level 4 Friendship Quest - Mimsy Were the Borogoves
Gameloft

To start the “Mimsy Were the Borogoves” quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, talk to Alice. She reveals she has found a note in her own handwriting about a hidden treasure, then reads it to the player. It’s a poem with clues to the item’s location:

Long ago, I hid a treasure,
And not to forget, I penned three clues:
Find a place of sunbaked pleasure,
Where one can gaze on watery views.
Tally-ho! Alice, sharpen your gaze!
Bordering the Glade, all the days,
A bottle shall tell the next phase.

Go to Dazzle Beach and dig up the bottle in the sand next to the ramp up to the Glade of Trust. Give Alice the bottle to receive the second poem and its clues:

Brave Alice, continue — the path stretches on!
In a dark cavern alit with mystical lights,
Wait the colorful Mome Raths, each one withdrawn.
So beware, for they do guard the site,
Of the next clue, which is carefully hidden.
Yet step not on the Mome Raths — ’tis forbidden!

Enter the Mystical Cave on Dazzle Beach. Find the Mome Raths, then talk to Alice. She reveals these aren’t true Mome Raths from Wonderland, but another flower that behaves like them. Water the flowers to make it safe to walk on them and descend to the pool at the bottom of the cavern. Fish the bottle out of the pool and talk to Alice again. She’ll give you the third and final poem:

Hold fast, Alice; your quest nears its end. Next find
the monstrous guard. Rise to the sky and around the
bend. Look to a wooded yard. Fearsome Jabberwock,
friend of dark, holds your treasure in a house of bark!

Follow the path from Dazzle Beach to the Forest of Valor and look for a pair of glowing eyes inside of a fallen log. Talk to Alice about the Jabberwock hiding inside, then craft 6 Wonderland Candles using the materials below.

MaterialsQuantity
Tinkering Parts3
Coal9
Glass6
Yellow Daisy12
Red Bell Flower10

Place the candles around the Jabberwock’s hiding place using the Furniture Editor. Interact with the log and take the Kaleidoscope. Give Alice the Kaleidoscope to end the quest.

The Fractured Glass (Level 7 Friendship)

Disney Dreamlight Valley - Alice Friendship Level 7 Quest - The Fractured Mirror
(Gameloft)

Talk to Alice to begin “The Fractured Glass” quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Contrary to her usual self, she’s quite amused with a story about how Olaf dropped his beloved trivia book in the mud. The player can choose to comment on how Alice is acting out of character, to which she’ll respond that she’s been learning from the adults in the Valley—specifically Scrooge McDuck and Mother Gothel.

To get to the bottom of what happened, talk to Olaf, Mother Gothel, and Scrooge McDuck in any order. Then, go into Alice’s house. You’ll find a tiny Alice in a teapot on the floor next to the sofa. Talk to her, then talk to regular-sized Alice, whose dialogue box now delineates her as Happy Alice. To cheer up Sad Alice (the tiny one), Happy Alice suggests giving her lots of ice cream.

Cook chocolate, banana, and vanilla ice cream for Sad Alice using the recipes below.

RecipeIngredientsQuantity
Banana Ice Cream1 Banana
1 Milk
1 Sugarcane
1 Slush Ice
1
Chocolate Ice Cream1 Cocoa Bean
1 Milk
1 Sugarcane
1 Slush Ice
1
Vanilla Ice Cream1 Vanilla
1 Milk
1 Sugarcane

Once you’ve made the three ice creams, go back inside Alice’s house and interact with Sad Alice’s teapot to place the treats around it. Listen as Sad Alice—who gets a little bigger after she consumes the ice cream—explains what happened. Scrooge scolded her for making a mess in his shop while she played. She went outside and the magical Kaleidoscope received in her Level 7 quest began to glow. She looked through it, turned it, and felt herself getting smaller until she “felt small enough for how sad I felt.” This created two Alices: the tiny, Sad Alice, and the regular-sized, Happy Alice.

The player ponders if the Kaleidoscope is one of the Mementos Merlin talked about in the Tales of Agrabah free update.

Go inside Scrooge’s Store and talk to Scrooge McDuck about what happened. Clean up the piles of broken merchandise around the shop, then talk to him again. Next, find Merlin and talk to him about the Kaleidoscope’s magic. While he gathers Scrooge McDuck, Olaf, and Mother Gothel to help merge the two Alices, the player is tasked with gathering flowers to cheer Sad Alice all the way up.

Gather 3 blue flowers, 4 red flowers, and 6 yellow flowers of any variety. Go inside Alice’s house. Listen to Scrooge McDuck apologize to Sad Alice. Then, listen to Olaf tell Sad Alice about the importance of friendship and support. Finally, listen to Mother Gothel talk to Happy Alice. Give Sad Alice the flowers you gathered.

Listen to Sad and Happy Alice talk about how miserable they are only feeling one extreme emotion all the time. Wait for them to unify, then talk to Alice (the one and only) to complete the quest.

A Very Merry Unbirthday (Level 10 Friendship)

Disney Dreamlight Valley - Alice Friendship Level 10 Quest - A Very Merry Unbirthday
(Gameloft)

To unlock Alice’s Level 10 quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, check your mailbox, which will flash with a new quest icon. You’ll have a message from Merlin about the Kaleidoscope and the power of silliness. To progress, talk to Alice about something silly. This will begin “A Very Merry Unbirthday,” in which you help Alice throw an Unbirthday celebration for everyone in the Valley who isn’t having a birthday that day.

While Alice wishes the other villagers Happy Unbirthday, talk to Remy about preparing a cake. He suggests making a layered cake with fun flavors and colored icing. He gives you a tub of Unbirthday Cake Icing and three bags of refined sugar. Use these to bake the cake layers using the recipes below.

RecipeIngredientsQuantity
Banana Cake Layer1 Banana
1 Milk
1 Wheat
1 Eggs
1 Sugar (Quest Item)

Blueberry Cake Layer1 Blueberries
1 Milk
1 Wheat
1 Eggs

Give Alice the cake layers and the Unbirthday Cake Icing. The player suggests assembling the cake and enjoying it, but Alice wants it decorated with candles, sprinkles, and sweets. The game offers two clues for villagers who can help:

  • A fiery villager with knowledge of candles.
  • A sweet-toothed villager with a love of candies.

Talk to Mushu and Vanellope in any order. Mushu provides a recipe for Unbirthday Party Candles and Vanellope provides Unbirthday Cake Sprinkles and Unbirthday Cake Lollipops. Go to a crafting bench and make one set of Unbirthday Party Candles using the materials below.

MaterialsQuantity
Coal12
Red Nasturtium5
Blue Passion Lily4
Green Passion Lily7

Give Alice the Unbirthday Party Candles, Unbirthday Cake Sprinkles, and Unbirthday Cake Lollipops. Now the cake is almost ready, but to make it truly silly, it also needs inedible decorations. Talk to Pumbaa, Goofy, and Anna in any order for these decorations. Anna provides Unbirthday Cake Miniature Tracks, Pumbaa provides Pumbaa’s Ceramic Plate, and Goofy provides a Silly Fishing Lure.

Bring everything back to Alice’s house and talk to her once you’re inside. She asks for your help putting the cake together and asks if you can top it with the Kaleidoscope. Pick up each layer of the cake from Alice’s table, starting with the cake layers themselves. Interact with the glowing spot on the end of the table by the tall, green cupboard to stack them. Next, pick up and place the Unbirthday Cake Icing, followed by the sweets, the inedible decorations, and the Kaleidoscope (which is in your inventory, not on the table).

Talk to Alice. She asks for help moving the Unbirthday Cake to somewhere central in the Valley, but then there’s an iconic laugh and the cake disappears. In its place is the Cheshire Cat’s Ransom Note. Pick it up and give it to Alice. The note contains a riddle that must be solved for the Unbirthday Cake to be returned. It reads:

I am friend to the thirsty stitcher, though I
drink but rarely. I am not to be found in snow
or sleet, and I grow strong under the heat. My
beauty’s tone can be found between the hues
of red and blue.

Talk to Wall-E to help solve the riddle. Plant and water the seed he gives you. To make it grow faster, use a Miraculous Growth Elixir. Harvest the plant—a Purple Cactus Flower—and bring it to the Cheshire Cat in the Dreamlight Castle, where he’s apparently been hanging out since you invited him to the Valley.

Disney Dreamlight Valley - Alice Friendship Level 10 Quest - A Very Merry Unbirthday - Cheshire Cat
(Gameloft)

Give the Cheshire Cat the Purple Cactus Flower and take the Unbirthday Cake, then give it to Alice. Choose somwhere in the Valley for the Unbirthday party and place the Unbirthday Cake table. Keep in mind that the green square that hands off one end is the right side of the camera frame, so if you want a particular background for the group photo opp, place the table accordingly.

After taking the photo, talk to Alice. She reveals that the Kaleidoscope has split in two. A non-magical version is on the Unbirthday Cake, and she gives you the magical version. The player’s dialogue reflects on the Mementos Merlin mentioned and how they will lead to a big discovery. Alice also gives the player a dress and you can keep the Unbirthday Cake and table.
