Mobile developer Glu Mobile opens three new branches in three countries.
Cell phone game developer Glu Mobile, which recently went public, announced the opening of three new development studios. The Beijing team is being led by Daniel Arthur, formerly the head of Glu’s London branch. Additional studios have been added in Milan, Italy, and Madrid, Spain. This expansion will allow Glu to work more closely with mobile operators in foreign regions.
Greg Ballard, President and Chief Executive Officer of Glu Mobile, added, “It has always been our philosophy that our success as a global publisher depends on addressing and serving the needs of regional markets. Establishing a local presence in these key regions is critical to our strategy as it will allow us to deepen relationships within each market.
“In addition, we see tremendous opportunity in China, and establishing Glu’s third development studio in Beijing will allow us to strengthen our internal development and porting capabilities and create content for both the western and Asian markets.”
